Birthday and Family

We finally got to celebrate your birthday!  We had so many girls show up!  There were about 18 little girls that came to your party.  When everyone arrived we started our princess scavenger hunt.  We read clues to guess who the princess was and did an activity at each station. We decorated crowns, read a story and applied eye shadow, threw a ball in a bucket, danced and got princess tattoos, put princess puzzles together, pinned frogs on Tianna, and hit a piñata. The girls loved the activities. We also had princess crown shaped turkey and cheese sandwiches, chocolate dipped strawberries and marshmallows, cupcakes, cake, chips, and drinks. You got lots of presents.  It was so much fun.  Donovan, Michelle, Kami and Kensley flew in on my birthday and we got to go to dinner in Manatou Springs at a mexican restaurant.  Friday we went hiking at seven falls and then got chick fila for lunch.  We had a little picnic and then went swimming at villa.  That night the adults went to dinner at the Palms in denver while the kids were with a babysitter.  Saturday was the day we celebrated your birthday and then the adults went to denver to hang out.  We got dinner at cafe rio and went to cherry creek mall and nordstrom rack.  The next day we went to the shops at briargate and ate at Crave while the guys went to the gun show. We played poker that night.  Monday morning everyone got up and ready to leave.  Reagan was so sad!  She cried when they drove off.  You got to play with your friend Anna last week and you were so excited!  She was in your preschool class.  You started another summer camp this week. You and dexter had a check up and you were 29.8 pounds and 37 inches tall. That put you in the 7th percentile for weight and 5th percentile for height.  Dexter was 16.12 pounds and 27 1/4 inches.  Puts him in 6.9 percent for weight and 30 percent for height. Your head was 70 percentile. Dexter is standing up on everything.  He says mama, dada and makes other sounds.  He is a very happy baby and will go to see just about anyone He loves to laugh at reagan and annie.  He is very ticklish.

June Happenings

We spent memorial working in the yard and then went over to the Johnson's for dinner.  The kids played and had fun.
Reagan had her birthday on June 11th.  We decorated her room with balloons while she was sleeping.  She woke up in the middle of the night and told me there were balloons in her room and she didn't want them in her room.  I went in and took them all out.  When she woke up in the morning she opened a couple of her presents. She got an American girl doll (Caroline) from Sandi and Katie and some accessories from us and brad and lu.  Grandma sent a lalaloopsy and lip gloss and candy.  She went to summer camp for the first time and Ms. Schaffert was there.  She was so excited she ran up and hugged her.  We got pizza for lunch and went to the park.

The black forest fire happened the same week.  It was so close to our home we were mandatory evacuated.  We had to pack up everything that we thought was important and leave our home.  Reagan was listening while I was watching news updates and went upstairs.  A little while later when I went upstairs to check on her she had pulled clothes, books and shoes out of her closet and was ready to take her stuff when we left our house in case the fire got it!  We stayed in a hotel in colorado springs the first night and then in denver with the jensons the second night.  We went to the mall and had dinner at cheesecake factory.  We went swimming the next day and then we were able to come home.  We had to postpone Reagan's birthday party because of the fire.  REagan picked a jasmine costume that she wanted to be for her party.

Dexter has been growing and changing all the time.  He makes lots of sounds like mama, dada, and likes to yell.  He has started to pull himself up onto things.  You like to cuddle and be close all the time. You like to be held by someone.  You are really friendly with other people.  You smile at them and make noises.  You are such a happy baby and so fun to be around.  You are crawling everywhere.  You mostly do the army crawl.  I had to put up a gate at the top of the stairs. Reagan is really good at making you laugh.  You like to follow her around.  You started to try and touch annie and you laugh at her sometimes.  You will eat pretty much anything.  You eat quite a bit too.  We are so glad you are part of our family!!! You have a blowout every day-sometimes 2 times a day.  I have to change your crib sheet all the time and always carry extra clothes with me.
